Spencer France is a first-year Master's student at Boston College in the English Department. He graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in English from Texas A&M University in 2022. Following graduation, he worked in Minneapolis, MN as a substitute teacher for Hiawatha College-Prep Northrop with underprivileged students grades 5-8.

His current research interests are American Literature from 1918 - 1939. He hopes to explore themes of trauma, substance abuse, and mental illness as depicted by Jazz Age authors and how those experiences can translate into contemporary American culture.
In his spare time he enjoys rowing, baking, catching up with friends, and walking around Boston documenting all the restaurants he wants to eat at.
